Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CMM Programmer, Metrology Engineer, or Quality Inspector in precision engineering or aerospace.
  • Confident using FARO Arm or similar portable metrology tools.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, inspection methods, and 3D data interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise CMM programmes using PC-DMIS or equivalent software.
  • Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs and FARO Arms.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports and collaborate to resolve dimensional issues.

Overview

CMM Programmer / Inspector – Lancashire • 4-Day Week | Mon-Thurs, 07:15-17:00 (37 hours) • Competitive salary + overtime + exceptional benefits

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimise CMM programmes using PC-DMIS or equivalent software.
  • Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections using CMMs and FARO Arms.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve dimensional issues.
  • Maintain calibration records and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to production and inspection colleagues as needed.
About You
  • Proven experience as a CMM Programmer, Metrology Engineer, or Quality Inspector in precision engineering or aerospace.
  • Confident using FARO Arm or similar portable metrology tools.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, inspection methods, and 3D data interpretation.
  • Keen eye for detail, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
