Thistle City Barbican is seeking a Cluster M&E & Groups Team Leader on a maternity cover basis, guiding Meetings & Events and group sales across Thistle cluster hotels in London. You will lead a small, close-knit team, oversee event planning, drive revenue growth, and maintain client relationships, while fostering a warm, inclusive hospitality culture.

The Kingsley by Thistle is a classic Edwardian hotel, near Covent Garden, Holborn and Oxford Street. The Kingsley has been awarded 4-star status and has 129 bedrooms and seven meeting rooms. The team is relatively small and close-knit in keeping with the property's combination of modern comforts and historic charm.

What you’ll be doing

As Cluster M&E & Groups Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our Meetings & Events (M&E) and group sales efforts across our hotels across Thistle Cluster (including Thistle Holborn, Thistle Bloomsbury Park, Thistle Trafalgar Square, Thistle Piccadilly, Thistle Ken Garden, Thistle Heathrow, Thistle Express Luton).

You will support a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the planning and execution of events, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring that each team member is empowered to achieve their full potential.

In this role, you will develop strategies to enhance our M&E offerings, drive revenue growth and maintain strong relationships with clients. You will coordinate closely with sales and operations teams to ensure every detail is executed flawlessly, reflecting our commitment to warm and exceptional hospitality. Your leadership will inspire your team to meet and exceed targets while creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
