Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking a Cloud Security Consultant in Edinburgh. This role is focused on enhancing cloud security services for a core platform team, involving a review of existing security guardrails across AWS, GCP, and Azure. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in large-scale cloud environments and strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement. The initial contract lasts for 6 months and includes some onsite work in Edinburgh. This position is inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with security controls in large-scale AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles and cloud-native security tooling.
• Experience improving technical governance processes, including exceptions and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Review existing cloud security guardrails and controls across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Identify gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Engage with engineering, architecture, and security teams to validate findings.
