Job summary

Copello Global Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Assurance Specialist to support secure delivery and governance of cloud services in a UK defence-focused environment. You will lead assurance activities, assess compliance against UK Government and MOD standards, and work with technical teams and senior leaders to ensure security requirements are met.

Key responsibilities include guiding assurance from assessment to approval, evaluating against NCSC Principles and MOD

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud security assurance within UK MOD or defence environment.
• Knowledge of NCSC Cloud Security Principles and secure SaaS guidance.
• Familiarity with Def Stan 05-138 and the Cyber Security Model.
• Ability to obtain UK security clearance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud security assurance from initial assessment through to approval.
• Assess cloud services against NCSC Cloud Security Principles and relevant MOD security standards.
• Oversee ongoing compliance, security action plans, audits and third‑party access.
• Advise project teams on secure cloud configuration and risk mitigation.
• Monitor emerging threats, regulatory changes and evolving security guidance.
• Support Defence Cyber Certification, ISO 27001 and MOD security audits.
• Present assurance findings and recommendations to senior governance stakeholders.
• Demonstrate experience in cloud security assurance within a UK MOD or defence environment.
• Strong knowledge of NCSC Principles and secure SaaS guidance.
• Understand UK Government security, personnel vetting and compliance requirements.
