Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Security Architect (Consultant) to design and implement security practices within their platforms and services. This role involves collaborating with Agile delivery teams, mentoring engineers, and communicating security complexities effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in secure cloud service delivery, application architecture, and a strong grasp of security regulations and standards. Qualifications

• Experience in the secure design and delivery of new cloud services and solutions.
• Knowledge of security standards and regulations (e.g. NCSC, ISO, NIST, etc.).
• Experience in application architecture and software development.
• Mentoring and coaching team members.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and apply good security practices in platforms and services.
• Work with Agile teams throughout the software development process.
• Provide direction and leadership while solving challenges.
• Manage, coach, and develop a small team.

Skills

Secure design and delivery of new cloud services

Identifying security issues and recommending mitigations

Knowledge of security standards and regulations

Deep architectural experience in AI/ML, Security/Cloud

Application architecture experience

Mentoring engineers and architects

Communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

Testing security of software and infrastructure

Experience with Continuous Security, Integration and Delivery techniques

Network and web application security knowledge
