Qualifications

• Hands-on PostgreSQL experience with query optimization and indexing.
• Automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Java microservices development and orchestration of monitoring workflows.
• Strong observability and monitoring capabilities using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools.
• Security-minded design for resilient, multi-region data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Modernize and Scale the RDS Fleet: maintain databases and automate performance tuning.
• Evolve Observability & Monitoring: build proactive monitoring and alerting for the database fleet.
• Fortify Business Continuity (BCP): design disaster recovery strategies and ensure data durability.
• Architect Cross-Cloud Portability: use CNPG and cloud-native patterns for provider-agnostic deployment.
• Build Java-driven applications: develop microservices for database monitoring, failover, and replication workflows.
