Standard Life plc is seeking a Head of Cloud Platform to lead cloud across the estate, setting direction and guardrails for secure, resilient and cost-effective solutions. You will embed security as a core design principle, and bring deep AWS expertise to design, build and deploy prototypes and reference implementations for engineering teams to scale.

The role sits in the Engineering & Transformation function, requiring hands-on architecture leadership and collaboration with AI strategy.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Define cloud strategy aligned to business priorities and AI strategy.
• Embed security and compliance into cloud architecture and pipelines.
• Lead architectural leadership with hands-on prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud strategy and target architectures.
• Establish standards and guardrails for engineering teams.
• Drive simplification across the estate and align with data, AI and security.
• Act as the architectural authority for cloud and AI direction.
• Embed secure-by-design principles into CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
