Job summary

Computappoint is recruiting a Cloud Platform Architect (Lead Architect) to define, design and implement an enterprise cloud strategy for a highly regulated professional services client in London. You will lead the Cloud & Infrastructure Platform roadmap, governance, and delivery with strong stakeholder engagement at the C-suite level.

The role requires extensive Azure expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on delivery across architecture, security, and operations within a global enterprise.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Microsoft Azure platform and cloud infrastructure architecture.
• At least 10 years in IT Architecture and engineering; 5+ years on Azure infra.
• Proven experience leading Executive Steering Committee meetings with C-suite stakeholders.
• Ability to influence senior executives and align roadmaps with business objectives.
• Leadership within Enterprise Platform/Cloud/Infrastructure teams; hands-on when needed.
• Proven delivery lifecycle ownership from design to operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across Architecture, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Project Delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Establishing governance, standards, operating models for reliability, security, cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Cloud & Infrastructure Platform Roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, security, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
• Drive delivery of the Cloud & Infrastructure Platform Roadmap by collaborating with Architecture, Security, IT Operations, Engineering, Project Delivery, and Finance teams.
• Lead architecture governance, standards, risk management, and compliance across internal and external engineering teams.
• Define infrastructure, security, and application deployment standards, blueprints, and technical designs.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts to achieve optimal value, quality, and commercial outcomes.
• Deliver core Cloud & Infrastructure Platform services that enable enterprise technology, business initiatives, and customer-facing projects.
• Provide project teams with estimates for timelines, dependencies, resources, and solution delivery.
• Plan and manage platform capacity to meet current and future business needs.
• Present monthly Cloud & Platform updates to C-suite executives, ensuring alignment on strategy, priorities, risks and investment decisions.

Job Summary

We are recruiting for an experienced Cloud Platform Architect (Lead Architect) on behalf of Global Legal services client. This role is expected to lead the defining, designing and implementing Cloud and platform infrastructure strategy and evolution of enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms within a global organisation. This role requires a strong blend of architecture leadership, cloud strategy, stakeholder management, and operational excellence, helping to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology platforms.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Extensive experience in Microsoft Azure platform and cloud infrastructure architecture – defining technology strategy and roadmaps.
• At least 10 years experience working in IT Architecture and engineering and minimum 5 years working experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of IaC, Serverless, Containerisation, Networks, Information Security, AI and data as an Enterprise Cloud infrastructure delivery with Microsoft solutions.
• Proven experience leading and presenting Executive Steering Committee meetings with C-suite stakeholders, providing strategic roadmap updates, managing risks, and driving decision-making for Cloud and Enterprise Platform initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and align technology roadmaps with business objectives, investment priorities, and organizational strategy.
• Strong leadership experience within Enterprise Platform, Cloud, or Infrastructure teams, with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
• Proven track record of owning the full technology delivery lifecycle, from architecture and solution design through implementation, operational transition, and ongoing platform support.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across Architecture, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Project Delivery to successfully deliver complex enterprise-scale initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, including executive leadership.
• Experience establishing governance, standards, and operating models that drive platform reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
