ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a leading digital transformation consultancy with a world-renowned software engineering division. Their teams deliver enterprise-grade solutions for some of the UK’s most high-profile organisations, using the latest in open-source tooling, DevOps practices and cloud-native design. They are now seeking a Cloud Native Engineer with deep AWS experience to join their expanding platform engineering group.

THE CLOUD NATIVE ENGINEER ROLE

As a senior engineer in the AWS team, you’ll work on high-impact projects across public and private sectors, delivering modern infrastructure solutions with a DevOps-first approach. You’ll own the design and delivery of cloud-native services using containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and serverless technologies – collaborating with software engineers, cloud architects and delivery leads.

You’ll also contribute to growing the capability of your team – mentoring colleagues, driving Agile ceremonies, and helping shape standards across projects.

CLOUD NATIVE ENGINEER – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement secure, scalable solutions using AWS services
Build containerised applications and manage Kubernetes clusters
Define infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Champion DevOps principles including CI/CD and GitOps
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical delivery with client needs
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering communities
Engage in Agile ceremonies and champion SCRUM best practices
Continuously upskill and support others on their AWS certification journey

CLOUD NATIVE ENGINEER – ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Strong experience designing and deploying AWS-native solutions
Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration
Deep knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
Proficiency in at least one language – e.g. Python, Go or Java
DevOps mindset with experience in CI/CD and Agile delivery
Comfortable engaging stakeholders and leading technical decisions
AWS certification (or actively pursuing one – training will be provided)
