Job Title: Cloud Native API Developer (AWS / Python) - London
Location: London - 2 days on site per week
Salary/Rate: Up to £455 Per Day Inside IR35
Start Date: 10/11/2025

Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Cloud Native API Developer to join their team for a strategic project focused on AWS-based integration and enrichment platforms.

Responsibilities/Objectives
  • Develop Cloud Native APIs on AWS using Python and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Design and deliver low-level diagrams to support architectural and development documentation.
  • Design API contracts and maintain versioning, ensuring backward compatibility whenever possible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of services and adherence to secure coding standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and scalability.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and AWS Glue using Python.
  • Strong background in contract testing and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Advanced data modelling and analysis experience, including design and utilisation of API contracts in XSD, OpenAPI, and related formats.
  • Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL database design and analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in object-oriented or functional Python, with familiarity in Linux/Unix shell scripting and GitHub.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience with Java
