Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking an experienced Technology Procurement professional to join Group Procurement, supporting the Infrastructure software category with emphasis on databases, middleware and enterprise software.

You will shape sourcing strategies, negotiate complex contracts and partner with engineering and finance to deliver commercial value and resilience across a global technology portfolio.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Technology Procurement, Category Management or Strategic Sourcing across infrastructure software, databases, middleware or enterprise platforms.
• Proven track record of negotiating complex software agreements, renewals and licensing with global suppliers.
• Strong understanding of software commercial models (subscription, SaaS, perpetual, licensing).
• Translate technical requirements into effective commercial strategies and recommendations.
• Influence senior engineering and business leaders; manage complex negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies across database, middleware and software.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations and licensing discussions.
• Manage high-value renewals and licence optimisation programs.
• Ensure contracts deliver value, flexibility and risk management.
• Collaborate with engineering to evaluate options and support decisions.
• Build trusted relationships across the organisation.
• Lead supplier governance and performance realisation.
• Drive procurement transformation and risk mitigation.
