Job summary

Baillie Gifford & Co. invites you to a 10-week paid technology internship in Edinburgh, within our Shared Services engineering teams. You’ll work across Cloud, Infrastructure and Security, taking real responsibility from day one and learning how cutting-edge platforms power our business.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with major vendors such as Microsoft, Google and AWS, mentored by graduates and colleagues who support your development and help map your technology career path at Baillie Gifford.

Sitting within our Shared Services department, these teams are at the technological heart of the business. Colleagues collaborate across teams and technical specialisms. Following your induction, you will be immersed in a team within our Cloud, Infrastructure and Security areas. These teams are tasked with ensuring a high-performance, reliable IT infrastructure that supports staff, applications, and data while also advancing our cybersecurity measures to be proactive and tailored to the firm’s needs. You will be doing real work and taking responsibility using market and leading technologies. We strive to understand how new, and exciting technologies can be applied to solve today’s business challenges. We work with major vendors such as Microsoft, Google, AWS, Dell, Palo Alto, and ServiceNow to do that.
