Job summary

Persistent Ltd. is seeking a Cloud Infra Architect in London to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure for enterprise customers. The role requires 15+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on AWS Outposts, edge computing, and telco-grade networks.

You will shape platform architecture, drive IaC provisioning, and lead delivery across on‑prem and cloud environments. The position offers a hybrid work model, a competitive salary, and a culture that emphasizes talent

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with AWS Outposts and edge computing.
• Strong background in telco-grade networks and 5G edge architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure architectures on AWS Outposts.
• Lead Telco edge cloud architecture, distributed edge estate, and high-performance networking.
• Develop IaC-based site provisioning templates and reference architectures.
• Collaborate on LOCP and service mesh integration for edge deployments.

Must-have skills

AWS Outpost ordering, installation, base config and lifecycle

AWS platform architecture - VPC, Transit Gateway, local gateway routing, ENI

IaC-based site provisioning templates and reference architecture

Skills related to the Telco skillset

Telco 5G / edge cloud architecture - strongly transferable (distributed edge estate, edge hardware lifecycle, high-performance networking)

Cilium / eBPF networking and Cilium DRA migration (CUSTOMER-owned - advisory/collaboration)

Pod networking, service mesh and LOCP integration

Ultra-low-latency / market-data infrastructure background (ramp-up); BC/DR architecture
