Job summary

Salt, a London-based Council partner, seeks a Cloud Engineering Manager to lead a team of up to six engineers and shape a landmark cloud transformation. You will drive architecture, strategy and delivery across Azure and Google Cloud, with a mix of leadership and hands-on technical work.

You will own infrastructure as code, security postures and FinOps, guiding multi-cloud design and enterprise-scale modernization, while collaborating with Architecture, Security, Data and Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Cloud Engineering or Infra teams.
• Strong expertise in Azure engineering and architecture.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and cloud networking, identity, and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a Cloud Engineering team of up to six engineers.
• Oversee Agile delivery, sprint planning, standups and ceremonies.
• Design and implement secure Azure and Google Cloud environments.
• Deliver Azure Landing Zones and modern cloud platforms.
• Drive Zero Trust architecture and cloud security best practices.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep.
• Apply CAF principles and manage cloud migrations and modernization.
• Advance DevOps and SRE practices and governance.
