Cloud Engineering Lead - Enterprise Insight Platforms

Salary: National £90,000 - £100,000

Location : Norwich/ Bristol

A bit about the job:

As the Cloud Engineering Lead for Enterprise Insight Platforms, you will lead the engineering capability that underpins Aviva's analytics, business intelligence, AI and machine learning platforms. You will be responsible for shaping the technical direction, engineering standards and cloud architecture that enable secure, reliable and scalable platform services. Leading a team of cloud and platform engineers, you will drive modernisation, automation and operational excellence across the estate.

Working closely with architecture, cyber, infrastructure and business stakeholders, you will translate strategy into actionable engineering outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how enterprise data and insight platforms evolve to support Aviva's future ambitions.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Significant experience leading cloud and platform engineering teams, delivering complex technology solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment.

• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, platform engineering principles and modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and automation.

• Experience improving platform reliability, resilience, observability and operational support, with a focus on secure and well-governed services.

• Proven ability to lead platform modernisation, migration or transformation initiatives, balancing technical excellence with business outcomes.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.

• National salary £90,000 - £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
