Checkout.com ищет опытного инженера облаков в Лондон с глубокими знаниями AWS и Terraform. Вы будете проектировать и разворачивать крупномасштабные инфраструктурные решения, внедрять лучшие практики, работать в гибридном режиме и обеспечивать высокую доступность платежной платформы. Qualifications

• 5+ лет опыта в облачных инженерных ролях с AWS
• Опыт проектирования и эксплуатации enterprise‑scale AWS инфраструктуры
• Опыт работы с многоаккаунтными архитектурами AWS и сервисами IAM/KMS/Net
• Наличие Production опыта с Azure и landing zones
• Навыки Terraform: модули, безопасное хранение состояния, code review
• Опыт с Git‑workflow, CI/CD (Spacelift)
• Умение писать на Python или аналогичном языке для автоматизации

Responsibilities

• Взятие на себя крупномасштабных проектов платформы от архитектуры до реализации в Terraform

• Take ownership of large-scale platform projects from architecture through Terraform implementation and production delivery;
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimised platform solutions;
• Build platform primitives that product teams use to deliver secure services;
• Refine requirements and shape the platform’s technical direction with Engineering Managers and architects;
• Document significant technical decisions as ADRs;
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for team-owned services;
• Provide advanced operational support and ensure high availability for global payment systems;
• Produce exemplary code and documentation;
• Spread engineering best practices and standards across the group;
• Manage technical dependencies inside and outside the team’s pillar;
• Optimise delivery speed and business outcomes;
• Help shape the group’s culture through efficiency and professional excellence;
• Explore and implement AI-driven automation for infrastructure efficiency and team productivity.

Требования

• 5+ Years of experience in cloud engineering roles with significant AWS expertise;
• Advanced hands‑on experience designing and operating enterprise‑scale AWS production infrastructure;
• Experience with multi‑account AWS architectures, Control Tower, Organizations, SCPs, IAM, KMS, compute, storage, and security services;
• Proven experience delivering resilient multi‑region architectures;
• Production experience with Azure, including landing zones, VNet architectures, Entra ID, resource management, and governance;
• Expert‑level Terraform skills, including reusable modules, secure state management, and disciplined code review;
• Experience with Git‑based workflows and CI/CD, including Spacelift;
• Ability to use Python or similar languages for automation;
• Strong cloud networking skills, including VPC and VNet design, hub‑and‑spoke, Transit Gateway or Cloud WAN, DNS, PrivateLink, routing, and private connectivity;
• Experience running containerised workloads in production, ideally with EKS or AKS;
• Understanding of Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, workload deployment patterns, and production operations at scale;
• Experience operating in regulated environments with change control, least privilege, and auditability;
• Experience with observability and operational measurement;
• Ability to mentor peers, clarify ambiguous problems, create technical plans, and improve code and review standards;
• Strong incident resolution and root‑cause analysis skills;
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is not required;
• Nice to have: PCI DSS familiarity.
