Job summary

Unknown company is recruiting a Cloud Engineer to join a growing technology team. You will work across Azure environments, develop automation skills, and contribute to a range of cloud infrastructure projects while learning from experienced cloud professionals.

You will support design, deployment, and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure, implement IaC with Bicep/Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub, and write PowerShell/Azure CLI scripts to automate operations.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of core Azure services: compute, networking, storage and identity management.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Support design, deployment, and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Assist with infrastructure-as-code deployments using Bicep and other automation tools.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Write PowerShell and Azure CLI scripts to automate processes.
• Manage cloud resources including VMs, networking, DNS, certificates, and storage.
• Support incident resolution and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
• Contribute to cloud security, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.

The Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you will help build, support, and improve cloud infrastructure across the organisation’s Azure environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure
• Assisting with infrastructure-as-code deployments using Bicep and other automation tools
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Writing PowerShell and Azure CLI scripts to automate operational processes
• Managing cloud resources including virtual machines, networking, DNS, certificates, and storage
• Supporting incident resolution and troubleshooting cloud-related issues
• Contributing to cloud security, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives
• Assisting with the delivery of integration solutions using Azure Integration Services
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Working closely with senior engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience working with Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of core Azure services including compute, networking, storage, and identity management
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Scripting experience using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and operational support processes
• Experience using Git version control
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or equivalent are beneficial
• A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in developing cloud engineering expertise
