You will process financial transactions, maintain accurate records, reconcile accounts, and prepare VAT returns, while leveraging cloud accounting tools like Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Dext.

The role emphasizes strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and proactive client liaison to resolve queries and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' bookkeeping experience gained within practice or industry.
• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT.
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and similar platforms.
• Experience with digital bookkeeping tools and automation software.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping and accounting records for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts and control accounts.
• Match purchase orders to invoices and process payments.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Maintain and manage cloud-based accounting systems.
• Support month-end and year-end processes.
• Monitor online bank feeds and financial data integration.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting and bookkeeping queries.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate client delivery.
• Support clients in adopting efficient digital accounting processes.
