Job summary

Hawthorne-Finch Talent Solutions Ltd seeks an Accounts Assistant or Semi-Senior Accountant for its office in the Bury area. You will work under senior accountants, handling end-to-end accounting tasks for a varied client base and building technical skills with cloud platforms.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in UK practice, are progressing with AAT or ACCA/ACA, and are proficient in Xero, QuickBooks or Sage, plus MS Excel. Excellent client communication will be valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years UK accountancy practice experience.
• Actively studying towards or completed AAT, or early-stage ACCA/ACA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for SMEs, sole traders and partnerships.
• Produce management accounts and VAT returns.
• Handle year-end account preparation with senior accountants.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping setup and software queries.
