Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF)
The Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC) is designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to real-world emergencies and provide quality prehospital care, in both standard and higher- risk environments. This qualification also exceeds the requirements of the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work, surpassing the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) standards for workplace first aiders.

FREC Level 3 & Close Protection Level 3
This course has been developed by experienced instructors with strong military backgrounds and years of work in Close Protection. It goes beyond the basic licensing requirements, covering both the essentials and advanced skills needed for real-world operations. Successful candidates will receive both the BTEC Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry and the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF).

Level 2 Award for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry (Top-up)
If you want to work in the private security industry in the UK, you’ll need a Close Protection Licence, as required by the SIA (Security Industry Authority). Since 1 October 2021, anyone renewing their Door Supervision or Security Guard licence is required to hold a valid first aid qualification and complete a short top-up training course. This course ensures candidates meet the necessary requirements, including important safety updates, counter terrorism awareness and handling emergencies and incidents.

BTEC Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry
Close Protection is one of the most advanced roles in the private security industry, offering exciting career opportunities—such as working with celebrities, politicians, high-profile visitors, and even royalty once qualified and licensed by the SIA. UK Law (SIA Act 2001) requires anyone working in this field to hold a Close Protection Licence.
This BTEC Level 3 Close Protection course goes beyond the basics, providing candidates with the skills and knowledge for a successful career in executive protection. Successful candidates will receive a BTEC Level 3 Certificate for Working as a Close Protection Operative within the Private Security Industry, valid for 3 years.

Hostile Environment Close Protection Operative (HECPO)
This course is aimed at candidates who already hold a Level 3 Close Protection Certificate and are preparing for deployment to high-risk or hostile environments such as Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq. It complies with all the required standards, including DODI 3020.50 for Private Security Contractors (PSCs) working in conflict zones, as well as UK Defence Standards like DEFSTAN 05-129 and DEFCON 697 for contractors on deployed operations.
