Job summary

A global design-led apparel manufacturer seeks a CLO 3D Technician to work within a large design team. This role involves creating seasonal trend packs, translating designs to 3D, and producing tech packs for samples. Qualifications

Job description

A global, design-led apparel manufacturer with expertise across all product categories from Menswear, Ladieswear and Childrenswear is recruiting for a CLO 3D Technician.

The person in this role will require a passion for developing technically sound garments with fabulous fits, specialising in tailoring and draping that caters to the brand’s requirements using CLO 3D technology. This position requires an eye for detail and an “out of the box” thinker who can collaborate with the existing team, vendors and across all levels of the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone qualified by experience to work as part of a large design team.

The role

• Work closely with the Design Manager and the design team to create seasonal trend packs, provide 3D options for all trends.
• Respond to all customer 3D requests
• Translate Designs to 3D for in-house collection, capsules and special programs for customers.
• Research competitors and trends in 3D.
• Once the style is bought, produce a tech pack for sample making, conduct fits and give virtual adjustments on CLO until fit is approved for production
• Apply grading to ensure all sizes on CLO 3D on avatars to check all sizes are proportionately balanced

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a similar relevant qualification, or at least 1 year's experience working on Clo 3D.
• Confident, strong fashion aesthetic and trend-focused
• Knowledge of technical design, fabrics and other materials
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities
• Knowledge of design-related applications and software
