Job description

In this role you will play a vital role in providing expert diagnostic services to our growing network of practices, delivering high-quality clinical insights that support the best possible outcomes for pets.

Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary pathology team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a varied caseload from across the UK, including haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, microbiology and cytology.

This is a permanent, full-time position, though flexible or part-time arrangements can be considered for the right candidate. Remote working options are available.

What you’ll do:
  • Examine and report on cytology samples, including fine needle aspirates, effusions and fluids.
  • Evaluate and interpret results across haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology and microbiology.
  • Provide telephone and written consultations to veterinary surgeons.
  • Support the training and development of laboratory technicians and pathology residents.
  • Contribute to CPD, case discussions, and journal clubs within the team.
  • Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
  • Board-certified (or board-eligible) by ACVP, ECVCP, or FRCPath.
  • MRCVS or equivalent.
  • Organised, self‑motivated and adaptable, with strong communication skills.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enthusiastic about veterinary clinical pathology and committed to continuous development.
