Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, University of Leicester NHS Band 8B, 1 Year Fixed Term maternity cover: 0.6wte
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join the Leicester Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as a Clinical Tutor. This part‑time, 1 year fixed term maternity cover role will suit those with experience and interest in working with trainee clinical psychologists as they complete their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Main duties of the job

  • Liaison with trainees and placement supervisors in assessment of clinical placements
  • Assessment of clinically related skills (e.g. clinical skills assessments, case reports)
  • Teaching module coordination
  • Trainee line management
  • Year tutor role
  • Leading on projects and course development

The postholder will join a supportive and well‑established course team based in the College of Life Science and Department of Psychology and Vision at the University of Leicester. The Leicester Clinical Psychology Programme has a national reputation for its innovations in training, its critical reflective approach, its commitment to diversity and to developing clinical psychologists with the skills to engage with wider ethical and social issues.

The postholder will have access to shared office working space in the George Davies Centre at the University of Leicester, as well as flexible working arrangements to allow for some aspects of the role to be completed through working at home. We can offer some flexibility with when the sessions are used in the working week to fit in with the post‑holder’s other work or home commitments.

To fit in with training delivery, there is an expectation that the post‑holder’s work days would mainly cover Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please note this post does not involve direct clinical work;
