Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Manager for the William Harvey Research Institute in London. The role leads day-to-day multi-centre trial management, ensuring safety, protocol compliance and regulatory adherence.
You will coordinate with the Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine Research Group, travel as needed, and support trial sites across the UK. The position is full time, fixed term for 1 year, with a London-based salary package.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Clinical Trial Manager to join the Critical Care & Perioperative Medicine Research Group at William Harvey Research Institute, QMUL. The post holder will lead the day-to-day management of the multi-centre trials led by the group ensuring safe and efficient management and adherence to study protocols, current regulatory requirements, and UK legislation.
The successful candidate should have an undergraduate degree in a biomedical or related subject. They should have experience in coordinating clinical trials either in a clinical trials unit and/or health related research. Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and a willingness to travel are essential. The candidate will be a good communicator, team-player, hardworking and be flexible with a willingness to learn new skills
The Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine Research Group lead research projects conducted across a large part of east London as well as collaborative projects throughout the UK and worldwide, including the PROTECT platform trial Research interests include improving outcomes following major surgery, critical illness, polytrauma and acute kidney injury. The group includes Professor Gareth Ackland, Dr John Prowle, Professor Zudin Puthucheary, Dr Tom Abbott, Dr Henrike Janssen, Clinical Lecturers, Research Fellows and PhD students. This post underpins the further development of a world leading research programme led by the group.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 1 year, with an expected start date as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £40,015 - £46,618per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of the London Allowance.
