Job summary

Johnson Johnson in Maidenhead is offering a 12-month Clinical Trial Assistant placement starting in June 2027. You will support the Local Trial Manager and Site Manager with document management, logistics, and administrative tasks across trial start-up, execution and close-out.

This placement requires a Life Sciences undergraduate degree with 2:1 in the first year, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication, analytical and teamwork skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• 2 years of undergraduate degree level study completed at the start of the placement year (June 2027) in a Life Sciences degree.
• The industrial placement year is part of your overall undergraduate degree course.
• A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study.
• Good Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) skills.
• Passionate and enthusiastic for working in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Motivated to develop and learn.

• Contribute to process improvement, training and mentoring of other CTAs.
• Partners with Business Operations, CTA team, study teams and key stakeholders to support routine clinical operations activities.

Position summary:

The Associate, Clinical Trial Assistant supports the Local Trial Manager (LTM) and/or Site Manager (SM) to ensure optimal management of all documents with logistical and administrative tasks related to trial start-up, execution and closing of clinical trials. Ensures trial related activities are compliant with GCO SOPs, policies and local regulatory requirements.

Contribute to process improvement, training and mentoring of other CTAs. The Associate, Clinical Trial Assistant contributes to central business supports and process optimization with the support of other relevant functions in line with company’s requirements and business needs.

Partners with Business Operations, CTA team, study teams and key stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Procurement etc.) to support routine clinical operations activities.

Education & Key Skills/Competencies Requirement:

• 2 years of undergraduate degree level study completed at the start of the placement year (June 2027) in a Life Sciences degree (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nursing, Pharmacy).
