Clinical Team Manager - Early Intervention Team

We are pleased to announce that an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our CAMH leadership team in Conwy and Denbighshire

The team is multidisciplinary and offers a range of early intervention and direct assessment and therapeutic services to school-aged children, adolescents, and their families, referred with a range of emotional and behavioural disorders. The team leader is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the team in partnership with clinical and admin leads and the service manager.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, sharing our passion for innovation and continuous service improvement. They will be able to demonstrate compassionate leadership skills and a commitment to facilitating an open learning culture that embraces the ideas and expertise of team members to improve care and service delivery. For this, you will need excellent relationship building and engagement skills and be capable of developing positive partnerships with a range of stakeholders. You will understand and embrace the challenge of delivering a service, which is high quality, efficient, and sustainable, in keeping with the principles of prudent healthcare.

Main duties of the job

A background of working within Child Mental Health Services and a knowledge of the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) would be advantageous. However, we are also keen to hear from candidates from other clinical specialities connected to supporting emotional health and wellbeing or children and families, and can demonstrate transferable skills in managing performance, quality, and safety.

If successful, you will be joining an innovative and welcoming multidisciplinary team in Conwy CAMHS, in addition to being part of a supportive leadership team that values its member's contribution and is committed to achieving service objectives through engagement and collaboration with our teams and each other.

North Wales is a beautiful part of the country with good schools, a range of leisure activities, and plenty of stunning scenery. Conwy has rugged mountain terrains, spectacular coastlines, and a mix of small rural villages and larger coastal towns. With plenty of access to fresh air and the great outdoors, we are also within an hour of larger cities such as Chester, Liverpool and Bangor. We are happy to discuss relocation packages for those moving into the area to join our team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
