Have you seen 24 Hours in Police Custody? Are you a clinical leader looking for a new challenge? Do you want to play a pivotal role in leadership in police custody healthcare and make a remarkable, positive, and lasting difference in peoples lives? If you answered yes, then this is the perfect role for you! We are seeking a Clinical Team Manager to provide visible leadership, operational oversight, and clinical support to our Healthcare Professionals working across our West Yorkshire Police custody suites. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to some of the vulnerable people in our communities while supporting staff to deliver safe, effective and high quality care.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Team Manager, you will:

  • Lead, support, and develop multidisciplinary teams of nurses and paramedics.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and supervision, maintaining professional standards and compliance with NHS standards.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas and performance to ensure a resilient and responsive service.
  • Promote collaborative working with Police and other partner agencies to maintain professional and respectful relationships.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and service transformation initiatives.
  • About you: You will be a registered nurse/paramedic with 3-year post qualification experience and proven leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing others. You will thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate a calm, fair, and values-driven approach to leadership.

The post is full time (37.5 hours per week) across a 7-day service. Shifts are 7.5 hours and include weekend working, with some flexibility required to support service demands.

Experience in urgent, forensic or custodial healthcare is desirable but not essential. Full training and ongoing professional development are provided.
