A healthcare provider in South East London is seeking an experienced clinician for a fixed-term role in developing a new neurodiversity service model for children and young people. The successful candidate will manage clinical assessments, lead service delivery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. A doctoral level training or equivalent is required, along with experience in neurodiversity services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
This is a new and exciting fixed-term role offering leadership opportunities for an experienced clinician, to support the development, implementation and establishment of a pilot service to test a new neurodiversity (ND) service model for children and young people (CYP) across several South East London (SEL) boroughs. This is initially a 12 month pilot with the potential to extend to 18 months.
The pilot will test a new multi-borough ND support and assessment model, facilitating a reduction in the longest waits for ADHD and ASD assessment across the system. The Hub will be multi-disciplinary, including community paediatrics, psychiatry, GP, speech & language therapy, nursing and psychology.
The postholder will be a skilled and highly experienced clinician, managing risk and improve outcomes for children, young people within the ND Hub. This will involve providing clinical assessments and interventions, as well as providing consultation and clinical expertise. Additionally, they will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of the service and will be supported in developing the scope of the service, outcomes and full pathway evaluation and re-design throughout the duration of the pilot. The postholder will be expected to thrive within a complex and blended environment, fostering effective team working in an integrated manner, working in partnership with stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for children.
