A regional healthcare provider in Lancaster is seeking a compassionate and caring individual to provide high standards of care for patients in Ward 36. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses in delivering care, ensuring patient dignity, and maintaining a clean ward environment. Candidates must have a desire to support patients recovering from orthopaedic procedures and demonstrate teamwork abilities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team, who has a desire to provide high standards of care for patients on Ward 36 at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Ward 36 is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward, caring for patients who are recovering from Orthopaedic Surgery or Orthopaedic Injuries and are dependent upon high standards of care and support to reach their full potential. Ensuring patient dignity and individual patient needs are met at all times is central to this role and working to maintain a clean and safe ward environment.
You will work with the support of and under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), providing nursing care and assistance to patients within defined parameters specified by the Registered Nurse.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
