Job description

Castle Ward at Newark Hospital is seeking dedicated Clinical Support Worker to join our busy ward, which specialises in the care of elderly patients. The ward accommodates 18 patients across a mix of bays and side rooms, providing a supportive and patient-centred environment.

As part of our well-established medical team and ward-based multidisciplinary staff, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care tailored to individual needs. Our focus includes:

  • Complex Discharges: Supporting patients returning home with care packages or transitioning into 24-hour care facilities.
  • Rehabilitation: Assisting patients in regaining independence during their stay.
  • Patient Activities: Promoting mental and physical wellbeing through engaging activities, encouraging independence wherever possible.
