A healthcare organization in Liverpool is seeking a Clinical Support Worker for the Emergency Department. This role involves supporting patient care, performing venepuncture, and basic nursing tasks under supervision. Applicants should hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in healthcare. The ideal candidate is caring and reliable, ready to work in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided for desired healthcare skills. This position offers the opportunity to develop emergency care skills while ensuring patient's safety and well-being.
This post is specifically for a Clinical Support Worker who will predominantly work with the Phlebotomy team provided by the Emergency Department.
The band 3 Clinical Support Worker role in the Emergency Department also extends to ensuring patient’s well being within the department, delivery of basic nursing care and using additional clinical skills such as undertaking of observations and some investigations such as ECGs in order to maintain safety and provide an enhanced and appropriate patient journey.
We are looking for caring, reliable, well‑motivated people who are looking to develop their emergency care skills, working in a fast paced and ever evolving environment.
Applicants should hold NVQ Level 3 in healthcare as a minimum requirement experience working within an Emergency Department or other relevant experience is required.
Skills in a Health care assistant role is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting the Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.
The post holder willundertake a range of tasks and duties as delegated by a registered nurse.
