Sherwood Forest Hospitals is seeking a caring Clinical Support Worker to join our Antenatal Clinic team. You will work under the supervision of Registered Midwives and Nurses, providing essential clinical and non-clinical support to ensure women and their families receive safe, high-quality care.

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated Clinical Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Antenatal Clinic team. This is an important role within the maternity service, providing essential clinical and non-clinical support to Registered Midwives, Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure women and their families receive safe, effective and high-quality care.
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will work under the direction and supervision of Registered Midwives and Nurses and will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Antenatal Clinic. You will have regular contact with women attending the service for antenatal appointments, investigations, assessments and follow‑up care.
We are committed to supporting the development of our Clinical Support Workers. You will receive appropriate training, supervision and competency assessment to enable you to develop the skills and confidence required for the role. This may include training in phlebotomy, maternal observations, infection prevention and control, health and safety, confidentiality and the safe use of clinical equipment.

If you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check. The Trust will pay for the check initially and then the money will then be deducted from your first salary once you've commenced employment. The current price of a check is £26.40 for a standard check and £54.40 for an enhanced.
