The role requires face-to-face patient interaction, administration of outpatient clinics, and developing communication skills. Suitable candidates should have a relevant qualification, clinical experience, and strong IT capabilities. This position offers robust training and development opportunities.
We have created an exciting new clinical support post in speech and language therapy at the RSCH in Brighton. This post has been specifically designed to support the SaLT specialist teams in ENT and paediatric dysphagia. Working across both specialties offers a unique opportunity to develop a breadth of knowledge, skills and competencies. To enable this, you will be supported by both teams of highly experienced speech and language therapists who will work with you, supervise your input to patients and monitor your development in the role
Specific clinical roles will include face to face contact with patients and/or telephone reviews, running groups and assisting in specific clinics such as videofluoroscopy. You will also be responsible for the administration of a variety of outpatient clinics within these specialties and it is therefore essential that you have well developed IT skills to support the range of systems that will be used for the administration element of the role and are able to work in a time‑efficient and dynamic way.
We have an experienced SaLT team of around 50 people working across the Trusts sites. We are committed to offering robust CPD, training and peer support.
