Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Studies Assistant/Research Nurse to support a range of NHS studies. You will work with clinical teams to recruit service users, obtain informed consent, and conduct baseline assessments in line with GCP.

The role involves on-site presence and careful data management across multiple studies. You will contribute to study setup, maintain site files, and promote a research culture within the Trust, helping ensure timely delivery of study

Qualifications

• Experience in obtaining informed consent and coordinating participant recruitment.
• Ability to collect, manage, and input study data accurately.
• Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) principles in NHS research.
• Strong communication with clinical teams and study participants.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and recruit participants into multiple studies per protocol.
• Obtain informed consent following GCP guidelines and document appropriately.
• Assist with baseline assessments and data collection per study protocol.
• Maintain trial site files and delegation logs, ensuring governance compliance.
• Support study setup and collaborate with clinical services during launches.
• Promote research culture among clinicians and service users.
