Qualifications

About the role

Live in a beautiful rural area of outstanding natural beauty with excellent local schools and education facilities, and only 2 hours from Glasgow. Join the Argyll & Bute CHP Radiology Team as an experienced radiographer/sonographer. This role offers flexibility and a good work‑life balance, with the opportunity to work independently at varied sites within Argyll & Bute CHP.

Responsibilities
  • Provide sonography and general radiography services 3–4 days per week.
  • Maintain and develop general radiography skills, including plain film and basic CT techniques.
  • Work independently at the Lorn & Islands Hospital and at other sites across Argyll & Bute.
  • Collaborate clinically with a senior sonographer/radiographer and an onsite radiologist.
  • Support the department’s 24/7 service covering CT, interventional fluoroscopy, ultrasound and A+E work.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and service improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to work independently in a rural setting and manage a varied workload.
