Department: Structural Heart / Interventional Cardiology

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and clinically skilled Clinical Specialist to support the introduction and growth of an innovative Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) portfolio across the UK. This field‑based role combines in-depth clinical case support, education, and stakeholder engagement to drive procedural excellence and adoption of next‑generation structural heart technologies.

You will work closely with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cath lab staff, and hospital management to ensure safe, effective, and confident use of the TAVI system throughout the patient pathway – from case planning and device preparation to post‑procedural follow‑up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site clinical case support during TAVI procedures, assisting physicians and cath lab teams in device preparation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver training and education to clinicians, nurses, and technicians on device features, procedural workflow, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the sales and commercial team to support product evaluations, new site onboarding, and adoption programs.
  • Act as a clinical expert for the structural heart portfolio, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of procedural techniques, anatomy, and device performance.
  • Support clinical trials, case studies, and data collection activities as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals across assigned regions.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company SOPs, regulatory standards, and hospital safety protocols.
  • Participate in national and international conferences, training programs, and internal meetings to share insights and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in a healthcare or life science discipline (e.g., Cardiac Physiology, Radiography, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or similar).
  • Strong clinical experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional cardiology environment (e.g., TAVI, PCI, EP, or structural heart procedures).
  • Proven ability to work effectively in high‑pressure, theatre‑based settings alongside multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to train and educate clinical professionals.
  • Sound understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging systems (fluoroscopy, echocardiography, IVUS, OCT, etc.).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Desirable Attributes
  • Prior experience as a Clinical Specialist or Field Clinical Support role within cardiovascular medical devices.
  • Exposure to TAVI procedures or structural heart interventions.
  • Experience supporting live cases, training workshops, or proctoring sessions.
  • Strong presentation, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to join a fast‑growing global medtech organisation at the forefront of cardiovascular innovation.
  • Continuous professional development through structured clinical training and international education programmes.
  • Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and career progression within the structural heart field.
