We are delighted to offer a committed and experienced Nurse the opportunity to join our team of Clinical Services Coordinators within our friendly and forward‑thinking children’s community Neurodevelopmental Team.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Nurse who will provide clear leadership within the multi‑disciplinary team and provide line management support to identified staff.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with AHP and Nursing service leads to ensure a safe and effective Autism Assessment Service.
- Work closely with the Operational Manager to ensure efficient delivery of assessments for children and young people.
- Liaise with the wider system across health, education and social care to offer the best possible support to families of children with suspected ASD/ADHD/neurodevelopmental needs.
- Make effective use of virtual and mobile working technology and IT systems; good IT skills.
- Work with Service Leads for NDP to ensure services meet local and national standards.
- Support the Service Leads for NDP in developing positive relationships with early years settings and providers across all agencies/sectors.
- Work with the Centre Manager to ensure services delivered in an integrated way within available resources and clinical priorities.
- Deputise for Service Leads for NDP on an infrequent basis if required.
- Coordinate activities of multidisciplinary/multi‑agency team, including allied health professionals, education staff and other agencies involved in assessment of children referred to the CDC.
- Ensure parent/carer involvement, engagement and participation core of all activities planned and undertaken.
- Co‑ordinate and oversee organisation of clinics, groups, assessments and reviews, ensuring efficient, effective and inclusive delivery following agreed CDC guidelines and processes.
- Liaise with health care professionals and colleagues from other agencies to ensure children attending the centre receive optimum care and appropriate goals and outcomes set for that care.
- Provide clinical advice and safeguarding advice appropriate to role/professional background of post holder, linking in with other staff, e.g. Safeguarding leads, Health Visitors and other key managers.
- Provide support and guidance to centre staff and other agencies where issues arise regarding the medical and developmental needs of children attending the centre. This may include social, domestic and child protection issues, ensuring appropriate referrals made in line with relevant Child Protection Policies.
- Chair CDC reviews as and when required to communicate outcome of assessments/intervention groups, ensuring reports completed timely and appropriate use of interpreters for families where English may not be first language.

- UK Home Office Visa Sponsorship: Band 2 clinical and non‑clinical roles and Band 3 Non‑Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship. Non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Band 3‑6) generally not eligible except those on the list. Band 7‑9 roles with RQF 6 and salary threshold eligible.
