Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Institute of Nuclear Medicine seeks a Clinical Scientist (Medical Physicist) to join a skilled team delivering scientific and technical support for diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy. You will participate in a wide range of clinical, research, and development activities and receive full training on equipment support and radionuclide therapy rotas.

Responsibilities

Contribute to high-standard scientific and technical support to clinical and research activities.
Perform routine clinical procedures and undertake clinical projects.
Provide Duty Physicist cover to the Clinical Nuclear Medicine Service.
Provide Duty Therapy Physicist cover to the Molecular Radiotherapy Service for INM and Radiotherapy MRT rotas.
Provide radiation safety and protection support.
Develop and introduce new clinical protocols and procedures.
Contribute to audit activities within the department.
Participate in research and development projects.
Provide teaching and practical support on operation and QA of NM, PET/CT and PET/MR instrumentation and systems.
Undertake teaching and supervision of local and visiting staff; support CPD and competency development.
Maintain high professional standards and commit to continuing professional development.
