Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton is seeking an experienced Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to manage a GI oncology/Lymphoma trials portfolio. You will work under the Senior Research Nurse, acting as keyworker for trial participants, ensuring high standards of patient care and good clinical practice.

Role emphasizes recruitment, education and monitoring of trial participants, with data collection and adherence to GCP.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with post-registration oncology qualification or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Evidence of CPD and research methods education.
• Competence in research software (Access, Excel, SPSS).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate arrangements for patients undergoing specialist investigations as part of the trial protocol.
• Assess patient prior to trial treatment and monitor during treatment; follow-up on completion.
• Collect and record data in line with trial protocol requirements.
• Assist in designing and preparing trial documentation and ensure updates as required.
• Safeguard trial integrity by complying with ICH GCP guidelines.
• Be involved with running several concurrent research studies.

Education
