Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a radiographer to produce high quality diagnostic images and provide patient care across a wide clinical rota, including dental, theatre, A&E, orthopaedics, endoscopy, CT and fluoroscopy, in line with IR(ME)R 2018 and IRR17 guidelines.
You will work unsupervised when required and take on extended duties while maintaining accuracy, communication, and IT skills within a dynamic NHS setting.
To produce high quality diagnostic images and provide high quality patient care to the service users adhering to national guidelines and taking into account relevant legislation including, but not limited to, the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2018 and the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17). The post holder will participate in all areas of the clinical rota to include dental, theatre, accident and emergency, orthopaedics, endoscopy, mobile procedures, paediatrics, CT and fluoroscopy and work independently when required. There will be a requirement to work outside of normal working hours, where you will be working unsupervised in a multi disciplinary role as part of the decision process in patient management (A&E red dot).
