Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent.
• Completion of a clinical supervision course to enable supervision of trainees (or completion within 6 months).
• Holds a drivers license and has access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience across a range of psychological models including systemic, behavioural and individual therapies.
• Demonstrable post‑registration/clinical experience relevant to this care group.
• Experience of supervising assistant and trainee clinical psychologists.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and specialist psychological support within community mental health services.
• Deliver high quality, trauma-informed psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and risk management.
• Lead, supervise and develop staff including qualified psychologists, assistant psychologists, trainees and students.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement, including audit, research, policy development and care pathway design.
• Build strong collaborative partnerships with service users, carers, multidisciplinary colleagues and partner agencies to improve outcomes and ensure inclusive, equitable care.
