Job summary

Bupa Health Services at Mindplace Metrocentre is seeking a Clinical Counselling Psychologist to support our customers with education and evidence-based therapy. You will spend most of your time delivering high-quality psychological care across diverse cases in a busy wellness clinic.

The role offers both part-time and full-time hours, a 7-days-a-week operation with early mornings and evenings, and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension, private health insurance, and CPD

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
• Offer models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
• Adhere to service policies and collaborate with clinical leads and therapy team.
• Work within sessional limits based on patient care allowance.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referrals.
• Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness remotely.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Collaborate with operations and clinical teams to improve experiences.

This clinic operates 7 days a week, with planned opening hours of 8am-10pm.

As part of the rota, you will be required to complete one morning shift and one evening shift each week. While we welcome all availability, we would particularly like to know if Fridays work for you.

Your Role

As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you’ll use your training and education to support our customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives. You’ll spend the majority of your time with our customers, doing what you do best.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
• Offer different models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
• Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
• Work within sessional limits based on the client’s Private Medical Insurance allowance.
• Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
• Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
• Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
• Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
• Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.

Key Skills / Qualifications

• Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
• General adult mental health experience.
• At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience.
• Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
