Qualifications

  • Significant post-qualification experience working in neuropsychology or neurorehabilitation settings.
  • Experience in a range of therapeutic approaches relevant to brain injury, such as CBT and ACT.
  • Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS.

Job description

As our Clinical Psychologist, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients by upholding robust safeguarding practices and protecting their human rights at all times.
  • Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, clinical formulations, and interventions, including specialist neuropsychological assessments, for individuals with acquired brain injury.
  • Deliver evidence‑based individual and group therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing psychological distress and improving functional outcomes.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of psychological interventions to ensure continuous improvement and positive impact on recovery.
  • Provide clinical guidance and supervision to support colleagues in delivering evidence‑based psychological interventions.
  • Take proactive responsibility for maintaining security procedures and continuously assessing and managing clinical risks.
  • Maintain registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist, including active engagement in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and uphold competence in administering psychological and risk assessments.
  • Foster positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, families, carers, and external visitors, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
  • Significant post‑qualification experience working in neuropsychology or neurorehabilitation settings.
  • Skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches relevant to brain injury (e.g. CBT, ACT, systemic approaches).
  • Confident working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Passionate about delivering person‑centred, values‑based care.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
