Job summary

NPsych is a specialist team of clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists providing care in East Anglia, Essex, Kent, Surrey and the South West. Clinicians assess and treat clients aged 10+ with acquired brain injury and related neurological conditions, often working in homes and communities to follow rehabilitation and manage caseloads.

Roles offer clinical autonomy within a specialist team, with opportunities to grow in trauma work and medico-legal projects, and at the 8c level, potential

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered clinical psychologist.
• Experience in neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation.
• Interest in trauma work; EMDR training welcome but not essential.
• Comfortable working independently across different settings.

Clinical Psychologists and Neuropsychologists – neurorehabilitation

Pay above NHS rates, plus a monthly bonus

• 8a equivalent: £60,000–£70,000
• 8b equivalent: £70,000–£80,000
• 8c equivalent: £90,000+
• Monthly bonus based on hours worked: most clinicians earn an extra £300–£1,300 a month on top of salary.

About NPsych

NPsych is a specialist team of clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists. We assess and treat clients aged 10 and over with acquired brain injury and related neurological conditions, working closely with case managers, solicitors, deputies and multidisciplinary teams.

Unusually for an independent provider, our clinicians work in people’s homes and communities, so you can follow clients through their rehabilitation and keep your caseload varied. Our work includes neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, trauma therapy, mental capacity assessments and medico-legal work.

Where we are recruiting

We are looking for clinicians in East Anglia (Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire), Essex, Kent, Surrey and the South West. In these areas, referrals are already waiting for a local clinician.

The role

Specialist training in trauma and neuro-EMDR

Treating PTSD and trauma after brain injury is a core part of our work. You will be trained and supervised in adapting EMDR for clients with cognitive, communication or fatigue-related difficulties (neuro-EMDR).

• Specialist supervision in trauma-focused work and neuro-EMDR.
• Funded EMDR training and support towards accreditation.
• A free place at our conference, “When Physical and Mental Trauma Collide” (4 March 2027, Westminster).
