A prominent NHS healthcare provider in Westminster is seeking a dedicated Clinical Placement Facilitator to support the development of student midwives. The role involves a blend of educational leadership and operational management, including collaboration with clinical teams and Higher Education Institutions. Strong clinical background, expertise in NICE guidance, and excellent communication skills are essential. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to advance their career in a supportive environment.
We are looking for a committed and organised 8a Clinical Placement Facilitator (CPF) to join our maternity education team at the Royal London Hospital, working alongside an existing CPF colleague. Together, you will help shape and support the clinical development of student midwives, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality, compassionate care. This is a challenging and dynamic role that combines educational leadership with operational management responsibilities, including participation in the on-call rota. You will collaborate with midwives, senior midwifery teams, and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to coordinate placements, identify learning needs, and provide tailored support to students. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring students complete their training confident, competent, and prepared for practice.
A strong clinical background is essential, along with expertise in NICE guidance, fetal monitoring, and obstetric emergencies. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills, and can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a midwife ready to take the next step in their career, combining clinical expertise, educational passion, and operational insight. If you're ready for a new challenge in a supportive and progressive environment, we welcome your application.
