A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to join their team. This role involves patient counselling, medication management, and supporting clinical services across various hospitals. The position starts at Band 4, with opportunities to progress to Band 5 after completing training. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy environments and excellent communication skills. Flexible working arrangements are available.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of our team of ward-based Clinical Pharmacy Technicians. We have vacancies for Technicians looking for a new challenge to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team working across The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals.
You will initially be appointed as a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician and undertake 5 x Trust Dispensary Based Training Programmes, an in‑house discharge assembling on wards training, Medicines Management Module 1 or equivalent, Medicines Management Module 3 (these will take approximately 6 months to complete) and an Accredited Checking Qualification, if not already held (approximately 12 months). Once all training programmes are complete and evidence has been provided to Human Resources, you will be moved to Band 5 Clinical Pharmacy Technician.
Applicants who already hold relevant qualifications/training or experience mentioned above will progress to the Band 5 pay scale accordingly.
The successful candidates will also be expected to undertake Medicines Management 4 or a higher level diploma as part of their role.
We will also accept applicants due to qualify as Pharmacy Technicians in early 2026.
3 x Posts will be across Freeman Hospital and Royal Victoria Infirmary.
