Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist at HMP Norwich on a part-time basis (28.5 hours per week). The post offers AfC terms, NHS Pension, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will split time between dispensary duties and clinical patient care in a demanding, security-cleared environment.

The role focuses on medicines management, prescribing for suitable patients, and robust monitoring of antipsychotic and other medications within established guidelines.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration as a Pharmacist is essential.
• Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Independent prescriber certification is required.
• Previous experience in UK prison, hospital, or community pharmacy settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispensary & Medicines Management duties including safe supply and handling of medications.
• Provide clinical supervision to pharmacy staff and maintain dispensary operations.
• Conduct medication reviews, audits, SMRs, and participate in clinics.
• Prescribe, review histories, monitor antimicrobial use, and advise on formulary standards.
