Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic nurse who enjoys working with children and young people with a variety of complex health and learning needs.

Main Duties

• You will be a band 6 nurse joining a team of mixed skill nurses to support children and young people in a school for CYP aged between 4-19 years old.
• You will have good clinical skills and a willingness to learn new skills, plan your workload and pre-empt the needs of the children on your caseload.
• You will provide tracheostomy care, feeds via jejunostomy, gastrostomy, safe administering of medication, airway maintenance using suctioning, etc.
• You will deliver care for the CYP while they are in their lessons and ensure their education is as uninterrupted as possible.
• You must also have good safeguarding awareness and be happy working within a team.
