Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking an experienced nurse to lead our specialist Eating Disorders Service for young people. You will hold a clinical caseload, undertake assessments, develop person-centred care plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote recovery.

Working with families and a multidisciplinary team, you will lead governance, supervision, training, and workforce development to sustain a high-quality inpatient service in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse leading clinical teams in CAMHS settings.
• Experience delivering evidence-based therapies for eating disorders in young people.
• Strong assessment, care planning and care coordination skills.

Job description

As a key member of our specialist Eating Disorders Service, you will provide expert nursing leadership and therapeutic support to young people with complex eating disorder presentations. Holding direct oversight of a clinical caseload, you will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop person-centred care plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that promote recovery and positive outcomes. Working closely with young people and their families, you will help ensure every stage of the care pathway is delivered with compassion, professionalism, and a strong therapeutic focus. You will work collaboratively within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to coordinate and oversee treatment plans, ensuring recommendations are implemented, evaluated, and adapted to meet the changing needs of each young person. Building strong relationships with patients, families, carers, and partner agencies, you will play a central role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused inpatient environment while supporting successful transitions back to the community. Beyond direct clinical care, you will contribute to the ongoing development and excellence of the service through leadership, quality improvement, education, and governance activities. You will support and develop colleagues through supervision, training, and mentorship, contribute to recruitment and workforce development, and help shape innovative clinical practice across the wider Children and Young People's Directorate.
