Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Metastatic Breast Cancer to coordinate patient care across Merseyside, providing expert clinical leadership and developing patient pathways. The role supports the multidisciplinary team to ensure services meet national standards.

The post is 22.5 hours per week, based at CCC-Wirral, with flexibility based on the job plan and service needs. This is a part-time post within NHS settings.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Degree in healthcare related subject.
• Evidence of Masters level learning.
• Post-basic qualification in cancer/palliative care or relevant specialist subject.
• Advanced communication skills training or prepared to work towards.
• Recognised leadership qualification.
• Psychological skills training - Level 2 or above.
• MSc Clinical Examination.
• MSc Research Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead role in monitoring and improving the standards of care through supervision of practise, clinical audit, developing and leading practise.
• Provide complex specialist clinical advice and support to patients, families, relatives, NHS Professionals internal and external to the Trust.
• Work autonomously and develop collaborative relationships with others; offer advice, support and education to clinical teams across the trust and cancer network.
